Insight Imaging partners with local veterinary hospitals in the Treasure Coast area to provide comprehensive abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography services.
Pet owners can schedule diagnostic imaging through participating veterinary hospitals, with examinations performed by Dr. Wasserman and independent specialist interpretation through SonoPath.
You may specifically request Insight Imaging for your pet's ultrasound examination through your regular veterinarian.

All pets and pet families are welcome! You do not need to be an established client of Highlands Animal Hospital to schedule an ultrasound examination.

Insight Imaging & Diagnostics was founded by Dr. Michael Wasserman with the foundational principle that advanced diagnostic imaging should be accessible within the general practice setting, allowing other veterinarians to have access to advanced diagnostics while maintaining continuity of patient care.
Specializing in abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography, Insight provides comprehensive mobile imaging services to general practice and urgent care hospitals. Each examination emphasizes standardized imaging protocols, attention to anatomical detail, and collaboration with attending veterinarians and interpreting specialists.
The goal is not simply to identify disease, but to detect abnormalities as early as possible, guide clinical decision-making, and provide meaningful diagnostic information that supports treatment planning and referral when necessary.

Dr. Wasserman holds dual SonoPath SDEP® certifications in Abdominal Ultrasound and Echocardiography (Double-Cavity Certified), reflecting his commitment to comprehensive image acquisition, standardized examinations, and diagnostic excellence.
Currently an Instructor-in-Training with SonoPath, Dr. Wasserman continues to advance his expertise through ongoing mentorship, advanced education, and participation in veterinary ultrasound training.
Echocardiography in Motion
The accompanying video demonstrates an emergency echocardiographic efficiency sweep in a feline patient with a normal heart, utilizing a technique taught by SonoPath. This approach requires experience and proficiency in echocardiography to rapidly acquire critical cardiac views and assess key cardiac structures and measurements. From this 3-second efficiency sweep, an experienced sonographer can obtain valuable diagnostic information to help identify potentially life-threatening cardiac abnormalities and guide initial treatment and stabilization before a comprehensive echocardiogram can be safely performed.
